We just love supporting local New England businesses and we know our customers do as well! If you have been to the store lately, you may have seen that we are now selling Bixby Chocolate. Bixby Chocolate is based in Rockland, Maine and is a woman-owned, family-run business!

There is so much we like about Bixby Chocolate, besides the awesome flavors! Bixby offers chocolate with a conscious, because their beans are ethically harvested to ensure that all workers throughout the production are treated fairly. Bixby Chocolate is committed to worker fairness, minimal environmental impact, and community support.

If this were a video, I would now say drumroll – here are the yummy chocolate flavors we are carrying here at the store: Dark and Milk Chocolate Sardines (check out the photos – these are actually packaged in sardine tins!), Whippersnapper Snack Bar (vegan dark chocolate with Maine blueberries and Maine sea salt), Heart’s Delight Snack Bar (also vegan with dark chocolate, almonds, strawberries and cinnamon), Nutty for You Snack Bar (dark chocolate, crunchy peanut butter and Maine sea salt), and Organic Project Puffin 70% dark chocolate bars (a portion of all sales supports Project Puffin’s seabird conservation work through the National Audubon Society!) Yep, this chocolate not only tastes good, it does good!
